Street Artist, Kislow, returns with his spray cans to paint Miami Ad School’s Wynwood walls.
Almost a year ago, during Art Basel 2013, we hosted a talented street-artist from Crimea who painted on one of our walls, a mural that represents the migration process of creative minds. This artist is now a dear friend of Miami Ad School and he will be back for the school’s Grand Opening event during Art Basel 2014. The Soak Up party is Dec. 5. Please RSVP.

Aleksey Kanunnikov, known to street-art lovers as Kislow, is from Sevastopol. His work spans from small works of art to epic murals, all with his distinctive style. Kislow’s art has a strong regional influence. The people he paints and the buildings and objects they are surrounded by have a clear Russian (Cyrillic) folk influence. The craft / skill behind his work is equally unmistakable.
Kislow was trained to be a physical and biomedical engineer but in time he realized that career was not for him. In 2010 he finished a new degree in design.
Last year, during Art Basel, he painted his first walls in Miami at the school’s new location in Wynwood.Kislow has participated in many mural art festivals and exibitions in Odessa, Kiev, Kamenetz-Podolsk, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Berlin, Fleury-les-Aubrais, Nant and Gdynya.
