SEE THE OUTSTANDING IDEAS THAT OUR ART DIRECTION AND COPYWRITING GRADS CREATED THAT MADE THEM FAMOUS SO EARLY IN THEIR ADVERTISING CAREERS.

Each year Business Insider names The 30 Most Creative People in Advertising Under 30. This year three Miami Ad School graduates were named the advertising industry leaders of the future.

(#7) Sam Shepherd, 28

Four years ago Sam got his start in advertising by studying art direction at Miami Ad School’s original location in Miami. Through the school’s partnerships with agencies all over the world Sam interned at advertising agencies in New York, Moscow and at Ogilvy in São Paulo. After graduation he was hired at Deustch in NY. A year after finishing school, Sam and his copywriter partner created the multi-award winning and awe-inspiring campaign #FirstWorldProblems. Some of the brands the team works on include Volkswagon and NYC Ballet. Their work has won Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, Andys and Webbys. Sam shares his secrets for coming up with award-winning ideas with the class he teaches at Miami Ad School New York.

(#6) Jenna Livingston, 29

Jenna graduated from Miami Ad School’s copywriting program six years ago. While in school she interned at agencies in New York and San Francisco and got valuable advertising agency experience. Now at R/GA New York, Jenna was part of the team that created Beats Music which was one of the main reasons Apple bought Beats by Dre for $3 billion. Last year she was one of 12 women selected by the ‘SEE IT, BE IT’ initiative which recognizes the most creative women in advertising. Jenna has won Cannes Lions, Clio Awards and Webbys. “Digital Streaker,” one of Jenna’s kooky personal projects, went viral and gave small brands with no money major media exposure during the Super Bowl.

#2 Felix Richter, 29

Felix is a graduate from Miami Ad School’s copywriting program in Hamburg. He got his first advertising agency experience while he was still in school as part of our Quarter Away program interning at Y&R. After graduation he was hired by Droga5 and quickly went on to win Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show pencils and D&AD awards for his work on Airwalk, Under Armour and Hennessy. His most prestigious award though is “Professional Young Gun of the Year”. Because of his early advertising career success Felix, has already been promoted to Creative Director. He gives back by sharing his creative know-how with the students in the Miami Ad School/Droga5 Agency Lab.
