One Way We Prepare Our Students? Real-World Agency Experience.
Recently we heard from our students in their new Agency Lab at MUH-TAY-ZIK / HOF-FER in San Francisco. Here is what they had to say:
Into the abyss…
From the moment we walked in the door at MUH-TAY-ZIK / HOF-FER, we were welcomed with open arms by a group of colorful personalities in a black and white penthouse. That’s one thing we weren’t sure of; how we “students” would be treated, as none of the four of us have any agency experience. Immediately upon arrival however, it was clear. They had faith in our creative ability and definitely welcomed our presence as part of the team.
Within the first day we were briefed and began working on Netflix. We submitted copy paired with original artwork that the company would go on to use for all of the main social platforms. Aside from that, we also were able to present ideas of our own for them to potentially use for social media that goes beyond the normal tweets and Facebook posts. They were all received better than we could’ve hoped for by the client.
We have also had the chance to participate in other campaigns such as New Amsterdam Vodka, and act as extras in a spot for a start up here in SF.
Overall, our experience here at MUH-TAY-ZIK / HOF-FER has been amazing. We work on real-world projects, our work gets produced and everyone we work with treats us as regular members of the team. It’s an understatement to say this has been amazing introduction into the real world of advertising.
